ANCHOR Programme – Holding Steady during Social Care Interventions and Court Proceedings

Date/Time

 24/02/2025 - 01/07/2025
 10:30 am - 1:00 pm

Exclusive to The Autonomy Hotline, our ANCHOR Programme is every parent and caregivers guide to navigating the incredibly stressful world of social care involvement.

When a family member is undergoing a ‘best interests test’ in the courts or social services – whether that’s a child, a young person without capacity, or an elderly loved one – it is easy to feel completely overwhelmed with the paperwork and legal responsibilities that follow. We have often given very similar advice to cases that fall within the ‘Best Interests’ framework nationally (and sometimes internationally), and we have managed to condense the vital points needed for nearly every client into this one course.

The ANCHOR programme is a series of 6 workshops designed to steer you through the legal jargon so you can remain firmly in control.

The tips included here are the basics, the first steps towards getting things on track, and are useful to go alongside traditional legal advice and representation, rather than seen as an alternative. However, in some circumstances, the content may help those unable to get legal aid and are forced to self-representation.

We expect to be running a rolling programme at a centre in Bournemouth (TBC) to trial the pace and content in-person (see dates below), and launch an on-line version soon, which will condense the recorded in-person meetings into 6 sessions.

To go on our ON-LINE waiting list, please pay a deposit of £25 via Stripe platform.

(refunds ONLY available AFTER 02/06/25 IF we have not been able to finalise the on-line material before then, keep an eye on announcements)

In-person course in Bournemouth (venue TBC) 10.30am – 1.30pm – MONDAYS in 2025: 24th Feb, 24th March, 28th April, 19th May, 23rd June.

For in-person bookings, please book 3 of the dates offered, and we will work the content around your availability. Break off groups, facilitated discussions and Q&A about your case will be offered. Recordings for on-line sessions will be needed, but participants can opt-out if they wish.

£25 per session = £75 total

(The Anchor programme will replace the membership system for new clients. Existing members can negotiate the costs based on previous donations made. Email us upon booking to discuss. If clients are struggling to cover costs, please speak to us about a discounted place or monthly instalments that work for you.)

There will be only 12 places available for each session, book quickly to avoid disappointment!
