Covid-19 and mandatory treatments

It is our view that health care provision should remain entirely voluntary at the point of service. Any efforts to force people to take a health product could jeopardise the patient-professional relationship. The current crisis has made it seem as though masks, vaccines and tests are ‘mandatory’, but many health care professionals are unable to force you to take a product should you decline consent. We’re here to help you understand what you can do to remain autonomous with your health choices and feel empowered to offer consent only to the treatment that you genuinely want and need.

Some people are also being denied care at this time. Some have had treatments cancelled and face-to-face appointments turned down in favour of virtual only systems. We feel that this does not meet the needs of patients and we can advocate on your behalf to get the care that is right for you.
